      Through continuous monitoring of the enterprise network equipments, servers, middleware, databases, business applications, security equipments and basic sustainable system (such as the computer room, air-condition, UPS, transmission, etc.), OSSWorks helps the system administrator at a glance understanding of the entire IT operation of the system through a browser-based GUI and greatly improve the management efficiency and service level.OSSWorks is not just a simple management toolkit, a daily operational sustainable platform more. •Resource monitoring
      Realize the unified monitoring of network equipments, links, servers, web service, middleware, databases and mail service, etc.

 

•GUI display
Major view: centralized display of all the monitors by resource categories.
Abnormal view: display of all the systems which are abnormal currently, as well as the alarms and the events related.
Business view: centralized monitoring of all the servers, network equipments, links, web service, middleware, databases, and mail service which are associated with the enterprise business. With the business view, administrator can know clearly about the business running state and rapidly find the business failure cause.
Alarm view: display of all the alerts according to the warning level and categories. Alert contents include: name, source, level, time, description and the state of it.

•Operation and Maintenance
Users report: receive users’ business application and fault reports by the way of email, web and telephone. The helpdesk staff determines whom to distribute the task sheet to according to the content of the report.
Working records: Offer daily record of the content on duty.
Warning notice: notify the appropriate administrator according to the warning notification strategy. The way of notification is various, including graphics, voice, Email and SMS.
Task sheet management: after receiving systematic inspection report of the abnormal situation and users’ report, OSSWorks will determine whether to distribute the task sheet to the related administrator. Operation and maintenance module provides a ‘distribution-transfer-track’ process of the task sheet until the fault is resolved. The solution will be finally updated to the Knowledge Base.

•Report form statistics
Provide the currently and historical run state query of various systems, and create different kind of analysis form and chart form.
Network running statistics: Historical flow traffic statistics, network connectivity rate statistics, network equipment CPU/MEM usage statistics and so on;
Event and problem statistics: unified analysis and statistics of the event and problem;
Server running statistics: server DIDK/CPU/MEM usage statistics, system resource utilization of process statistics;
Middleware/database running statistics: Middleware and database historical performance parameter statistics;
Business applications running statistics: application availability statistics;
Task sheet statistics: stat. the processed task sheet according to maintenance person and business type which provides the basis for performance appraisal of the administrators;

•Asset management:
Asset management is to establish the device account and record of all the equipment maintenance information. Through device account, Users can identify a particular equipment quickly: Who do the registration of the equipment,Who did the maintenance of the equipment,and who is responsible for the equipment.
Asset management offers Asset life cycle management, it manages IT Asset from the perspective of operating and makes the overall management of related configuration 、service life and maintenance record. It records the whole tracking cycle of the utilization of IT equipment including Stock-in, recipients and scrap. It analyzes assets from Multi-angles such as manufacturers, brand, user department, service life and also provides strong supports for equipment distribution, brand choice during the purchase and network upgrade.
Ultimately, Asset management reduces the equipment wastage, improves equipment utilization and gains the maximum returns with the minimal cost.

•Knowledge Base:
Knowledge Base is concentrated in accumulating knowledge used to maintain and manage the application system. It can supply different methods for different warning messages, and record the detailed information about the measures taken to resolve unusual performance issues, as well as provides administrator query services for knowledge base.
